Haven works with collaborators to tell stories with data. The purpose of telling stories with data is two-fold. First, we seek to challenge and expand the nature of what data are in international migration. Second, we actively invite contributions from others, including those who have yet to affiliate with Haven, to provide novel, human-focused perspectives on issues related to international migration. Although we need data to understand international migration, data themselves require stories to give them meaning. At Haven, data <\/em>can represent any meaningful information about people and their journeys, whether represented through statistical databases, interviews and histories, or even media and art. Below are examples of stories told with data from contributors to Haven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
